Why Counselling

Booking a Counsellor
Our complimentary conversation allows you to meet one of our Vancouver or Langley counsellors without any expectation or pressure. If it fits, great you can rebook. If it doesn’t, you can try another counsellor or decide the timing isn’t right. You can always call us back in the future.
We use an online booking system, so you can book immediately without waiting. You’re welcome to meet with any of our counsellors for a complimentary conversation until you find the right fit. Prefer to email or call with a question? You’re welcome to do that too.

Counselling Services
Lavender Counselling provides counselling services in Vancouver and Langley for all ages: children, teens, adults, and elders.
We offer individual counselling as well as support for couples and other important relationships: parent-teen dynamics, adult parent-child relationships, siblings, and workplace partnerships. We also provide crisis support and grief counselling for personal loss.
Group Therapy:
Our therapeutic groups bring people together to process shared experiences in a supportive environment. We facilitate groups for anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma/PTSD, chronic illness, and complex grief (including loss by suicide, line-of-duty death, or other traumatic circumstances). Group therapy helps people feel less isolated as they heal alongside others who understand.


Counselling Support
Finally, we support counsellors in the profession in multiple ways. Lavender Counselling is a training facility for master’s level counselling students, offering practicum placements. Our team of supervisors supports established counsellors through individual and group consultation, supervision of supervision, and guidance through the complaint process and consent agreements with BCACC.
Lavender Counselling has over 13 years of experience supporting those in the Lower Mainland. We have two locations across from one another in Langley, one block west of the Langley Events Centre, plus a dedicated group therapy space in Langley City, half a block west of the new Langley City Centre SkyTrain Station (opening 2028). We recently opened an office in Vancouver and provide in-person, telephone, and video counselling.
