Join us for this workshop designed to help you feel confident in making professional decisions that align with ethical decision making.

Professional Boundaries Workshop

This workshop helps you explore your relationship to the topic of professional boundaries.

It begins by exploring common struggles counsellors face with knowing, understanding, or holding space for their professional boundaries. It seeks to build confidence in some of the most common areas counsellor struggle, such as dual relationships and work with mature minors. Together we explore overlapping or dual relationships and help you to determine whether the degree of overlap leaves your client, or you, unsafe. It will also assist those working with teens to understand mature minor status, and how to determine if a teen’s decision should be kept confidential, or not.

This workshop will guide you to understand areas where you may struggle, and ultimately leave yourself in conflict wtih the client, or the BCACC Code of Ethics. We wish to help you balance client centered practice alongside legal and ethical care.
